Very nice state park and clean too. Love the bike trail and overall area of the park. I was here last summer and went biking kayaking and boating. Also if you stay at the cabins on the lake side you can see the highway going across the lake. There's also wildlife here too. Also if you stay at the cabins you can go over to mcconils mills only a little drive away. And you can go up to grove city to the outlets. Will be coming back to stay
Best time on the water, even in October. If you have your own kayak, accessing the water is so easy and they even have a wheelchair access ramp for kayaks. Many restrooms, wide open walking trails, playground and those VIEWS are smashing. The entire park is clean and there are plenty of maps and park info available. I just wish there were more tent camping spots.
Great State Park with something for everyone. Fishing Swimming Hiking. Lake Arthur has awesome boating opportunities. The Sunken Garden Trail was a nice short walk. Beaches and swimming too
Great place for kids, boaters, birdwatching and history buffs. The trail system is ok. Many trails have serious overgrowth and many contain Invasive species unfortunately, in addition some trail blazers are simply no where to be found and it can be hard to find your bearings even on easy trails. Park has great beaches, overlooks for waterfowl observation and great picnic spots. The oil pump house museum is very educational and a great place to visit when open.
