She is a very good teacher, she takes time and keeps a good pace while explaining and or showing you something!
Delores has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. She is well educated and has years of teaching experience. Her ability to meet students young and old where they are and challenge them at just the appropriate rate is outstanding! I appreciate her warm smile and contagious enthusiasm. Lansdowne is lucky to have such high quality!
I have taken piano lessons from Dolores for four months now, and absolutely enjoy being under her guidance, and teaching. For the last 20 years I have been a violin student. I have had rigorous training, lessons, and instruction from many high level violinist, theory, and music history teachers all across New England. Dolores is very committed to providing high quality lessons, and understands the importance of the basics. I truly delight in being a student, and am thankful for her continued appreciation for solid piano instruction.
Today I entered St Cecilia Conservatory to interview as the new art teacher. As soon as you step in you are greeted with a warm smile, an adorable dog and a beautiful atmosphere. I felt at home. Dolores was so pleasant, sweet and easy going that I didn’t want to leave. The piano that she teaches with is huge and stunning, fireplaces and chandeliers make you feel like you’re in a baronial hall. I am excited and honored to say that I am the new Art teacher. I’ve included some of my paintings in the review below, so that current and future students can see what I will be offering them here. Her passion for teaching excellence is contagious, and her ability to make you want to strive to be your best is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing you all very soon!
I write this not as a student, but as an observer of the results of Dolores' teaching and sharing of her love of classical music. Friends of mine are her students and very happy with her knowledge and method of teaching. My wife and I have been at Dolores' house when she has opened her home to anyone wanting to listen to her perform the music of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. A revival of the "salon" type of musical experience is happening in Lansdowne thanks to Dolores. She is a great asset to the community at large and the musical community to be specific.
