Very nice trail! Pathed all 4 miles and some. The path also has a pleasant smell, and some parts offer shade. Along the trail their is also posted art work right outside the Wayne art center, I think this adds a nice touch.
Went there yesterday, great park. No needles or bags laying around like Kent Park in Upper Darby. Clean and well kept.
I’ve put a couple thousand miles on this two and a half mile stretch over the years and it’s satisfying every time. Starts in Devon near a Wawa, runs to Radnor Chester Rd, and in between there is a dog park, an art studio, and a really cool home on the east side that used to be a rail station. Most of it is nicely shaded so you’re not dying in the summer heat. Not cleared during the winter, but there’s enough die hards out there that you’ll find a path beaten into the snow.
Great for walking, running, biking etc. Easy trail because it is paved but still a nice walk.
The Radnor trail is clean, paved and the parking is convenient. Since the trail runs along an old rail line there aren't exactly any scenic views or a sense of being immersed in nature. You're pretty much walking through peoples backyards. The part I like the most is identifying old railroad structures forgotten by time along the trail with my kids.
Officially opened to residents on April 16, 2006, the Radnor Trail has provided residents with a safe location to perform some of their favorite outdoor recreational activities. Utilized year round, the trail has been a welcomed addition to the list of highly valued recreational facilities of Radnor Township.
Friends of Radnor Trail Park was developed and formally opened in May 2009. Situated along the Radnor Trail, the park is an ideal location to stop and take a break when walking or riding along the trail and adds to the sites community members witness as they use the trail.
