The Cyr Team

We worked with Vince to buy our house a couple of years ago (end of 2019), and he was awesome. We found him while we were casually attending some open houses, and we liked his 'vibe'. It was a buyer's market then, and we had a lot of inspections and negotiations to work through, all of which Vince managed with ease. Everyone got a fair deal, and we love the house. Since then, I recommended him to our cousins. They were able to buy a place during the height of the pandemic with Vince's help, and also have nothing but good things to say about him.

This spring (2022) we worked with him to sell our first house, which we kept as a rental for a few years. Vince presented us with a thorough and informative marketing plan - with comparable properties, sales histories, percentage of homes going at, above, and below asking cross-indexed with days on market, just about everything you'd need to price a home.

We wanted to list it a bit higher than his suggestion, due to a few factors with the house that were hard to comp, and Vince agreed (although I have no doubt that he would have pushed back if he thought it was a bad idea). We also worked together on the description and other paperwork. I like to be involved in basically every aspect of these types of projects, and Vince rolled with it, answering all of my questions, reading my huge emails, and getting back to me almost instantly every time I reached out. Sometimes it was alarming - I'd email him, and if he was in the car and couldn't read it he'd call me right when he got the alert. If I had a more passive approach, or wanted to be less involved I would have been very happy to let him handle everything.

I remember buying our first house, and how much trust we had to place in others - the seller, the agents, and everybody who had ever worked on the house! As sellers we wanted to conduct the sale to the highest ethical standard, so that the trust we were asking potential buyers to place in us was deserved. I could imagine some agents not being into radical transparency but Vince was on-board. At no point, ever, did I get any sense that he would even entertain concealing anything or misleading anyone; quite the opposite. We had some interesting discussions about the rules around disclosures and the ethics of a sale. As an aside, he is good for a non-real-estate conversation as well - a clear thinker and adept communicator. And funny. Can you tell we like the guy?

The entire process was collaborative; at no point did we feel rushed, pressured, or anything like that. He had no personal agenda, other than to translate our intentions into action, to protect our interests, to limit our liability, get us the best price he could, and ensure a smooth transaction for all parties involved, all of which he accomplished. Vince works as a team with his wife, Jane Cyr, and now his son Taylor has joined the family business. Our interactions with them have been limited, aside from Taylor expertly managing the staging of our house, but my impression is that of a highly competent, professional group of butt-kickers.

So, from both the buyer's side, and the seller's side, you would not go wrong working with Vince. And, if you happen to find yourself on the other side of the table from him, know that you are dealing with an honest and ethical professional. We are very grateful to have had such a solid advocate through the two most consequential transactions of our lives so far.

Vince and Jane are a dynamic duo who are unmatched in their competence, compassion, and character. They were magnificent from start to finish in both the buying and selling process. Vince helped us to buy our very first home and there was no question in our mind who we were going to call when it came time to sell. They helped us to navigate a difficult housing market with ease.

We are having a baby in July and decided to purchase a home despite the highly competitive market. The Cyr team helped us do that and we are so grateful.

They were always there to answer questions promptly. Our realtor was also extremely flexible in scheduling showings, which was very important for us given my demanding occupation.
