(May 31, 2022, 10:56 pm)The Greene River Trail is a 7 mile long well- maintained trail for hiking and biking. It parallels the Monongahela River with beautiful views.
The trail goes past former mining sites and Rice's Landing, where the historical WA Young Foundry is located. Along the way are numerous informational signs that explain both the history of the area as well as the trees, animals and birds along the trail.
The Greene River Trail is remote but worth the trip! -

(April 24, 2022, 11:59 am)This trail is very well done gravel trail along the river. Please be aware the trail head does start at the marina but because of the popularity of the trail they had to move the parking lot. If you follow Google maps take it to the bottom of Millsboro Road then follow the signs for the trail. This trail is more than just a hiking trail. There are several signs identifying plant life and ones telling you the history of the region. It was meant to be a 10 mile in and out but because of the parking lot relocating it can easily be 2 separate hikes.

(March 30, 2021, 4:30 pm)Markers every half mile , plenty of benches for breaks , informational stands along the way about what's around you , a bicycle repair station at the sign entrance, plenty of parking. I did 6 miles out to the cove and back on a light rainy day that came and went then stopped at Lavern's for lunch it was a good day. If you start at the sign it appears the trail goes just as far to the left as to the right, I went to the right
