My step-father recently completed his second stay at Dunmore Health Care Center after recovering from a fall and hip replacement. From the moment you enter the building you feel welcomed. Alicia greets you at the front desk and the lobby is always decorated for each season. We found this a comfortable place to sit by the fireplace with my step-dad for visits. On warmer days we also enjoyed the enclosed pavilion. My step-dad has dementia and the staff was accommodating, understanding and compassionate with his needs. The therapists were all very nice and the activities director encouraged him to participate in various events and activities during his stay. We chose Dunmore after two other family members had positive experiences with short term stays there and we will continue to recommend it to family and friends based on my step-dad’s two most recent experiences.
I was very pleased with the care of my mother-in-law. The facility was very clean and the staff were caring and polite.
Great place to rehab
I was admitted to Dunmore Health Care Center the third week of Sept until October 17th after having major surgery and lost my ability to walk, move my legs or even roll over in bed. I was at the facility for Rehab . The care from the very first day was outstanding. Starting with the admission, Mr. Joe Liberatore Jr. was exceptionally pleasant , funny and he made you feel like you were friends with him for years. The second floor Nursing staff was extremely caring. They checked in on me all throughout the day and night. My medication was administered exactly on time all day and night. The aides were all friendly and very caring just as the nurses . When I Started my Physical Therapy the Therapists were extremely careful and understanding being I was learning to walk again. After 2 /12 weeks of therapy I was able to walk, climb stairs , get up out of bed . Each and every one of the Nurses and Therapists all showed their skills and compassion . If I ever have to go for Therapy again, Dunmore Health Care Center is the place I want to go. I want to thank each and every one there a Big THANK YOU . I highly recommend this facility.

The staff has taken very good care of my mother since she was admitted two years ago. Also, the business department and other administrative staff have been extremely helpful.
