  I came through this facility back in February and I was welcomed with open arms :) they got me involved in the area with a great group of people in the AA program. They gave me some responsibilities and only expected me to stay sober, go to meetings, counseling, complete my weekly chore, keep a job and be respectful. The counselors genuinely care and keep up with you as well as your obligations to the courts. The owner is a man i respect and will not soon forget! He's doing a great service to the state of Pennsylvania and has created a format for which other halfway houses should strive to emulate. I am now over one year sober as of December 1st. I owe a lot of credit to this place for instilling a better way of living in my life as well as the White Deer Run Blue Mountain facility preceding it. With a little bit of willingness and some action on your part, i feel this program can work for anyone.

  This place is awesome. The staff are the best. If you're serious and willing to man up and do hold yourself accountable, this is the place to be. I never took the time to transition back into society and the staff at white Birch provided all the help and opportunity needed for me to do so. They're all greatly appreciated. If you're not serious, don't waste your time or theirs. Otherwise, you'll have 5 minutes to pack your ish. Joe, Norm, Tom, Beth, Rich, Tony, thank you.

  Staff and director really care about addicts and have dedicated their lives to trying to save them. sometimes this means some structure and accountability that is disliked or uncomfortable but their hearts are definitely in the right place so if you want recovery they will help ya get it
