Cascade Park

I forgot how great this park is. Great place to take your dog or just have a nice walk with the family. Trails and playgrounds and picnic shelters... And garbage cans which is a nice touch! There's also a ton of history here.

Visit Cascade Park to see the remnants of the amusement park that used to be here. I read the history of the park before going, and it was so interesting to see that some of the original buildings are still standing.

The old carousel building, the old pool house, and the remnants of the roller coaster were great to see.

The website mentions that there are plaques throughout the park, however I only saw one on the carousel building.

There is a very short walking trail, and a small waterfall here as well.

I love visiting places that still have a link to the past, and this park does just that. Thank you New Castle for keeping this gem in great condition.

Really cool park with an awesome waterfall. We loved it and so did the dogs.

Would be cool to spend a whole day there and explore all of the remnants from the old amusement park.

Absolutely breath taking. The stream that cuts through is calming and it is fun to watch the ducks play. Alot of wildlife and butterflies and plenty of parking. Small kids play park but lots of places for parents to sit. Tons of covered areas to eat and ample places for garbage. Will be coming back again.
