  Went in unsure of what to think at first, to the wrong location listed by googled as Broad Street (as opposed to the new location at Penn Drive).
  
  The instructors are amazing and accepting of all skill levels. They know their stuff and the overall atmosphere is very supportive. It’s incredibly common for new people to show up and try some trial classes with no experience, and they’re integrated into the lesson.
  
  The space itself is somewhat small at a first glance ~ but works wonderfully and always seems to somehow accommodate everyone in a tight knit family like atmosphere.
  
  Overall I highly recommend Valley Jiu Jitsu for any and everyone, with plenty of options offered from nogi classes to fundamentals, wrestling, and children’s classes.

  The below review is so false and unfortante. The review was made based on personal interest to promote E4 bjj school and bash the current instructor at valley due to personal issues outside the gym walls.
  
  I am a purple belt female grappler and competitor who has been training with Valley Jiu-jitsu from my beginning blue belt stages to my current purple belt which equals about 4 years. I love the environment and it is competitive atmosphere due to majority of the gym competing in local tournaments. The environment is very friendly and rarely any injuries occur. If your caught you are taught to tap. The schedule changes often due to the seasons and a positive student growth. Our music is respectable because we have CrossFit neighbors who are coaching throughout classes. Our mats are cleaned everyday after every training session with a vacuum and wet mop, with antibacterial soap. I have been training for four years and have never had a skin infection at valley.
  We make sure our team is excepting of everyone that walks through the door and have many grapplers come from schools in our surrounding area. It’s an open door mantality. We do share a close bond so friendly exchanges do occur but let’s be honest this is the jiu-jitsu world. We trash each other in fun family ways, always slap-bump and end with a hug after all rolls.
  
  Now our instructors are the best thing about this gym.
  My name is Sam Fisher. I help teach the kids class which in my life. I am going to school to be a pediatric nurse so they are my everything. I want them to be the best they can be and push their limits through technique and deamonor on and off the mat. I also compete on a regular basis against a lot of female grapplers.
  Andrew kochel is arguably the best grappler in the area. His technique works if you show up and put your heart in it. He’s a brown belt moving to black soon. He is very humble and super friendly. He will have your back and sees no belt colors. He also competes on a day-to-day basis.
  Brent Yoder is a brown belt. His wrestling background and bjj game makes him a great asset in the gym. His gi game is strong and he loves teaching the class. When he teaches he breaks the technique down into fundalmenatal understandable moves.
  Shawn is our wrestling coach which aids us in our standup game on Mondays which is must needed since matches in tournaments start on our feet.
  Patrick McElderry is a current black belt under Daniel Belaza and Daniel Taveraz which are legit competitors and all-around grapplers. Patrick is strict and pushes his students to be apart of the gym and continue their journey in bjj. He competes as well in numerous tournaments throughout the year. His technique is current and basic-advance friendly and are all relevant to real-life scenarios as well as competitions.
  Our group of men and women grapplers here are very supportive and want to see you complete the journey. I think it’s fair to say that you should come and see us for yourself. OSS!

  Very hospitable environment. Instructors promote a safe and friendly learning environment for students at any skill level. If you're interested in competition, there's a team that competes in the grappling tournament scene. They offer kids classes as well and my eight year old daughter loves it. Whether for hobby or sport, it's a great place and a great group of folks.
