(August 6, 2018, 7:14 pm)The instructors are awesome and knowledgeable. They take the time needed to prepare kids to be confident and ready to adapt to any situation. For adults you are able to learn the basics of Kung Fu up to more advanced skills using fans, short sticks, board breaking and sparring. Overall a great, fun family focused organization.

Shifu Alex Oleksa has a good way with kids across a wide range of ages and skills - firmly promoting discipline and focus in a patient, gentle manner. I've been impressed by the progress kids make in his program. Most start out as (naturally) highly-distracted, uncoordinated, shy children, but make big gains in focus, coordination, and self-confidence over the course of their first year in the program. I've watched the more advanced classes and see that the growth trend continues. Shifu Alex places a strong emphasis on character development, too, with weekly discussions about honesty, integrity, positivity, etc. during stretches. The kids respect him, so they listen intently and so will benefit in other aspects of their lives. It's not a cheap program, but it's worth it.
