I just returned home from my father's no-monthly care conference. As always I found everyone welcoming and concerned. My questions or concerns are always addtessed at these conference. Sufficient time is allotted to address my dad's care and any issues raised seem to be taken care of right away. I am pleased with the conditions of the building, attention to the needs of the residents, and the respect and thoughtfulness from each employee. Everyone makes my dad feel special and I am most appreciative.
Wow, this is a facility, not a hotel. I'm in the medical field and this place is ok. I'm not sure what people expect from these reviews. First you dish attitude out you get the same back to you, so maybe that's why you get locked out of a room. So far I've have gotten nothing but respect because I give respect. It's clean and they are trying to help me out the best they can with my dying mom that the hospital threw in here. I see elderly people here, not my mom, doing activities and socializing. The ones with dementia you take them home and you take care of them then... knock yourself out!
Part 2: my mom just passed away today at Brookside. The staff was very professional very kind and very very attentive to my needs and my mother's needs. They were very sympathetic and gave me big hugs and apologies before I left.
The social worker at the hospital helped identify Brookside for us. This was a sudden and traumatic move from home for my mother and I was very worried about her. The staff and the care have been wonderful. The facility is clean and attractive and the residents are well taken care of.
