  I started karate in fifth grade, and I am in ninth grade now. I have learned how to defend myself. My favorite class in karate is sparring.
  The instructors take the time to encourage me about not being shy. My favorite weapon in karate is the katana. I’m glad I chose karate, because it makes me feel better about myself.

  I started karate in second grade. I am in seventh grade now. I really like how I am stronger with my self-defenses. I like doing katas. My favorite weapon is the nunchucks. I want to get better at reflexes. The instructors really help me a lot. They help keep everyone working hard.

  I started karate in kindergarten. I am in fifth grade now. I really like how I can do a lot of self-defenses and katas. Action Karate instructors have always been great leaders to me. I have learned to respect adults more.
  I am glad I chose karate.

  My name is Lucas Hohenstein. I have been going to Action Karate for about 4 years. I am testing for my Jr. Black Belt soon and I have been working extremely hard. My Karate journey has been very fun, but has had ups and downs. Whenever I earn a new belt it's the best feeling in the world! Then I will have trouble understanding a kata or have trouble with a workout. This can really leave me in the dumps. The instructors at Action Karate Huntington Valley are super awesome and help me improve every time I go to class. My Karate journey may have been tough in the past, but every day I am opening new doors and continuing to grow. I am ready for this test and ready to start a new chapter in my Karate journey.

  This is my daughter's black belt story.
  My name is Jessica. This June I am testing for my junior black belt. I've been doing karate for 3 years now at Action Karate Huntington Valley. My journey starts with me when I was 6 . My parents and I went to Action Karate to sign me up for karate. I loved it so much there. I couldn't do some of the moves there, but I eventually got the hang of it with the advice of some of the instructors there. Every testing passed like it was only 5 minutes long. I've made it so far and I'm sure that someday I will be wearing a Senior black belt.
  
  Here is my black belt story.
  3 YEARS BEFORE, I JOINED WITH ACTION KARATE ALONG WITH MY YOUNGER DAUGHTER AT THE AGE OF 48, MR. CLARK TOLD ME HIS SENIOR MOST STUDENT STARTED CLASSES WHEN HE WAS AGE 80.
  WHEN I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MR. ATKINS , SAYING I AM ALONG WITH MY DAUGHTER IS GOING TO TEST FOR BLACK BELT THIS SUMMER, I COULDN'T BELIEVE , HOW FAST 3 YEARS HAD GONE.
  I FOUND MYSELF MORE PHYSICAL FLEXIBILITY ( MORE TO COME) , REDUCED MORE THAN 10 POUNDS, I AM TRYING MY BEST TO GO TO THE BLACK BELT TEST.
