  Greg at Salter Spiral Stair was amazing to work with. He was able to get me a stock stair that fit all of my needs. The initial installation went well, and I cannot wait to start using the stair.

  I just finished installation of the third set of spiral stairs that I have purchased from Salter Spiral Stairs. Each time I have used them has been a very positive experience. From the first contact to the follow up and any questions or concerns along the way, they provide excellent customer service and the product quality, finishing, packaging and instructions are all first rate.
  I will definitely use them again, if the need arises, and I heartily recommend them for any spiral stair project you might be considering.

  DESIGN and PLANNING - 5 Stars. They were very attentive to requests and details. It took us from Aug 22 til Aug 31 to handle all the specifics of the design and renderings...which were awesome! PRODUCTION - 1 Star. We were told to hurry our signing of the final documents so we could secure a spot in production that would put us on a ship date that was about 6 weeks from the time of order (ship by Oct 19). Our order didn't actually ship until Nov 21 and we received it on Dec 6. This created a big problem in our scheduling with the people that were helping us install. INSTALLATION - 4 Stars. Our staircase is solid Hickory, so it is very strong wood and the installation screws that were provided, broke several times as they were being tightened into the wood. We had to get creative to remove them, but ended up purchasing some screws from the local box store and we had no problem after that. All components and pieces were cut and sized exactly as per the plan and that made the installation work wonderfully! FINAL PRODUCT - 5 Stars!!! We love the new staircase and despite the long wait time, would order from Salter, again! Their product is worth the wait!!! I will try to remember to post a photo, soon, we are awaiting the final staining.

  Its a beautiful staircase, very solid. However, the railings that go around the opening were made 5/16" to long. They didn't compensate for the steel plate they added. They need to remake the railings. I will let you know how this goes.
