This is a fantastic historic and nature park. Great for all ages. Kids can have fun and adults can read, learn and stretch their legs.

GREAT staff. Very helpful and went out of their way to see if we had questions. Also very knowledgeable when we did ask questions. The center itself had numerous displays and information about valley forge and presenting what life was like for the soldiers. Budget an hour in the center if you want to learn from the displays. We did not have time to visit all of the locations in the park. The few we did visit were informative and interesting.

We got to see Valley Forge with snow! A bucket list event considering the harsh winter the soldiers endured. My wife was beyond overjoyed. The visitor center is fantastic and it's totally free! The guides at Washington's HQ were great fun and really loved the history.

Definitely a recommended stop especially as you experience our country disintegrating around us...you get a newfound appreciation for what the men and women who were here believed in and fought for.

This is the visitor information center at Valley Forge National Park. Great place to learn history!

The valley Forge National Park is the historic location where General George Washington and his troops encamped during the war with the British.

The visitor information has an information desk with knowledgeable staff, free maps/pamphlets are available. You will also find a gift shop, a small museum, and a small movie theatre there. If you brought your own car, a free parking lot is located near the visitor information center. If you wish, you can buy a ticket for the bus, which gives a guided tour of the important locations in the park. If you visit this park, check out the visitor information center, and then go to the theatre to watch short documentary films, and then take the car and drive to other locations withing the park, such as: the army encampments, George Washington's Headquarters, and the artilary.
