We have stayed there many times and we only live 40 minutes away. So what does that say. The place is tranquil yet accessible. If you bike ride, fish, hunt or just relax it accommodates all. Jeff and Kim are genuine hosts and come hungry .The breakfast is stellar. The area has so much to do, we one day plan to build there. Try it , you wont regret. Ben R
This was the highlight of our GAP bike ride. It was lovely as a B&B but the real special touch was how nice Jeff and Kim are and their pets! They let our kids observe as they fed the goats, horses, cows, cats, etc. That combined with the smart tv and good breakfast made this a winner with our kids.
My friend and I were biking the Gap Trail and stayed at the Stepping Stone Farm B&B for one of our stops. The pickup at the milemarker was very much appreciated and the communication throughout was clear. The farm was cool to check out prior to departing the next morning. Comfortable stay with good shower and food!
Gracious hosts, excellent food, beautiful accommodations. I can't say enough about Kim and Jeff. They are the warm and welcoming Aunt and Uncle that are living life to the fullest while maintaining kindness that shows in everything they do.
Brought electric bikes and Jeff made sure we had proper storage and ample electricity to charge during downtime. The trailhead to the GAP is about a mile away down a fairly steep hill and we were offered a ride should we need it.
Kim was an amazing resource for everything from hiking trails to restaurants to good wine. Utilized her multiple times for advice on lesser known resources in the area.
The b&b itself is situated in a stunning setting that my amateur phone photography does little to capture. Surrounded by forests and alive with the sounds of a diverse farm, you feel removed from the complexities of busier locations. Phone service is spotty at best but the wifi was more than adequate. The building utilizes air conditioners which kept us plenty cool during downtime and the blue hemlock room had creature comforts and plenty of space to rest and recover.
Breakfast was excellent each day and Jeff knows how to make a diverse and balanced dish.
You can tell that Kim and Jeff are passionate about being good hosts and it made for an amazing experience.
What a wonderful stay! Kim and Jeff are amazing hosts. Don't be worried that it's a little away from town. Kim and Jeff are great about shooting in to pick you and drop you off in their pickup for dinner, biking in, etc. Definitely take up their offer to drive you up the hill if you aren't a top notch biker. Beautiful place, nice rooms. Like much of Confluence, a train may be heard in the distance but not too bad at all. They serve a HUGE breakfast.
