Westmoreland Heritage Trail

This is a great trail for enjoying a nice bike ride. It was very clean, and free if debris, and very shady. It's fairly flat with a few slight grade changes. It's about 8 miles to the end of THIS trail, then a different trail picks up. We will definitely return soon.

Beautiful and scenic bike or walking trail. Shady and breezy, so you stay cool most of the ride. There are a couple of places to stop and get a drink or lunch or to check out the creek along the way. Well maintained. Very even terrain. Great separate trails to run or walk your dogs also. Can’t wait until they finish!

This beautifully maintained trail passes fields, lakes, woods, farms and is one of our favorites in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Starting from the parking area at the fire hall in Slickville, the Westmoreland Heritage Trail is a nice mostly crushed limestone trail. It is really gorgeous in the fall. Nice for bicycles, walking, and geocaching. I recommend getting a bite to eat or some ice cream at the deli in Slickville.

Amazing trail, love this trail and everything about it, cross the road a few times but they have cross lights for the cars when you walk by. You pass 2 gorgeous lakes on this trail aswell. Always take my dog to this trail she loves It and it's never too populated.
