Gifford Pinchot State Park - Camp Area

  Camping at GPSP site 162. We camped here in mid Oct and the weather was great. The sites in the stretch we were on initially seem small, but are actually just right. There is a nice gravel pad for the tent, our 18×10 tent went over the edge a bit, but it is not a raised pad so all was good. Despite neighbors being close we did not feel cramped. Bath houses are nice and clean, hot water in the shower. It's a large campground, so lots of walking or biking around it, and there are nice hiking trails without need to drive to them, but also a lot to explore from the other side of the lake too. Very nice lake for kayaking, rentals available. Our second time there, we will return.

  Great for the family, kids had a blast, the wife an i " also had fun in a spot we found"????????????????

  Stayed here on 2 occasions and each time was fun. Great campground with some great sites on the lake. Looking forward to future stays!

  There are lots of nice basic (non-electric) sites that are wooded, well shaded and private. There are nice, shaded electric sites. However, if you request electric and water you automatically get sewer too. This raises the price per site, per night by $13 and gives you a site with very little shade. We will return but we will choose an electric only site and fill our A-frame's water tank in order to get a wooded site. This campground is 100% reservable which means that you must select a site when you make your reservation. If you do not live in the area, that is difficult. Our site #292 appears to be shaded on the website, but it is actually unshaded.

  Extremely helpful staff who helped us upgrade to full hook ups once a site was vacated. Beautiful campground with a fun little beach for swimming. Sites were level and easy to set up. Would definitely stay again! Thank you to all the staff and camp hosts!
