Dr. Haleo was terrific and made the experience fun. I was so glad we came here to understand my sons challenges in why he is struggling in reading.

Our 6 year old daughter was diagnosed with ambylobia and had been patching for over a year with little to no improvement in her condition. Her current eye doctor kept prescribing longer patching hours despite the failed results and after a year informed us she would probably need surgery. So as parents my husband and I felt we needed to search for not only a second opinion but also an alternative. Dr. Haleo delivered both and for the first time since my daughter was diagnosed we had hope. Her normal eye exams were traumatic but the one with Dr. Haleo was very pleasant. He listened to all of our concerns as parents as well as our daughter’s and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. Although probably the most impressive thing during her exam was his approach to putting the eye drops in. Instead of wresting my daughter and pulling her eyelids up he used guided imagery to make the process as painless as possible. We have decided to do vision therapy with Dr. Haleo and look forward to working with him. Our daughter who is generally scared of doctors is even excited to begin and brags to all of our family members that she has the best eye doctor in the world! I would like to thank him for giving us back hope for our daughter and taking the time to address all of our concerns as parents.

Dr. Haleo’s positive encouragement and patience gave me hope early in my weekly sessions. I would tend to convince myself I could not do what he asked nor understand his directions. As time went on, I became more confident and realized I was improving with his direction and could leave his office using his teachings in my everyday life. I could see clearer, walk straighter and also think what would Dr. Haleo say. I left my sessions stronger and more determined that I could heal. My brain was learning new ways back to normal as I could be.

I would recommend Dr. Haleo for brain injury issues and eye sight trauma.

Dr. Haleo was recommended by my daughter’s stepmother and father when she had a MRI that detected a mild issue. We scheduled an exam with him to ensure there was no pressure behind her eyes. He was so wonderful and did such a thorough exam and then met with us two days later with a case presentation. He took the time to demonstrate his findings so we could understand her diagnosis and “see what she sees”. He explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand and make an educated decision regarding her treatment plan. He made my daughter feel completely comfortable during the exam and I would recommend him to any family or friends.

Dr. Haleo is top notch! Amazing with children! One of the best doctors I have ever met, explains things in a manner that can be understood. Very knowledgeable!
