"I originally started taking classes with Barre Roots to support my friend, Kelly, the owner of Barre Roots.

However, when I started taking private sessions with Kelly, and really started to understand the mind-body connection, everything started to click and I really felt like I was able to get the most out of the class for ME, and no longer just supporting a friend.

I schedule 30 minute private sessions weekly, which works really well because it's a very digestible amount of time, and not too overwhelming. In addition to that, the private sessions have made me more confident in group classes.

Kelly works with me to adjust the workouts so it meets me where I am in my fitness journey, yet still being able to challenge me to become stronger with every session."

You can only workout in your living alone for so long before you start to crave working out in a group setting. Barre Roots offers small group outdoor classes that maintain healthy guidelines and deliver a group energy boosting workout you want and so badly need. A friend of mine brought me to one class, and I have been going ever since- traveling from East Nashville to Bellevue.

There is something nice about being able to still workout in a group setting while maintaining healthy guidelines. Even in a nontraditional setting (outside) Barre Roots is able to carry out a very normal barre class. When Kelly says, “Lift your left leg” it really is OUR left leg; she mirrors us to make instructions easy to follow along with while still making the workout itself challenging. Her energy is outstanding - you can tell she loves what she does and it comes across in her enthusiasm, encouragement and expert teaching. Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough good things about Kelly- her classes are always challenging, but she’s great at encouraging you through them. She gives really good feedback and modifications based on what you need, whether it’s taking pressure off an injury or pushing yourself harder. The other women in the studio are so great, and the environment feels really comfortable and relaxed!

Always a good class! Consistently challenging but not overwhelming. The people in class are friendly and you always feel welcomed. If you're looking for a safe place to try barre for the first time, or if you're a seasoned veteran in the barre world, this studio is able to teach to all fitness levels.
