  A co-worker and golf buddy of mine gifted me a lesson with Garrick for Christmas. Still not sure whether my friend is just a good dude, or if he was embarrassed to be associated with me on a golf course. Golf for me was a straight up grown-man Easter egg hunt. I knew I was bad, but I didn't know where to start to try to improve.
  Garrick helped me tremendously with the basic mechanics of a golf swing. In one lesson, we corrected my grip, shortened my back swing, and addressed my inside/out swing path issues. I've been hitting the range and implementing some of the tips and excercises he taught me. Since the lesson, I'm hitting more fairways, I've taken about 20 strokes off my golf game, and I'm hoping to break 100 soon.

  Garrick is a flat out great golf instructor. His approach to the game will not only help you play better golf, but it will also ensure that you play the game free from pain and discomfort. Garrick makes sure you understand both what is happening in the swing and why it is happening. He is as genuine as they come, and follows up with you making it clear that he is as invested in your progress as you are. I would highly recommend Garrick to anyone looking for golf instruction.

  Garrick is a great instructor and can target the smallest details to help your game. He helped me fix my swing and gave me some great tips to overcome the mental aspect of golf which affects so many players. Garrick is a great choice if you need help improving your game!

  I have been taking lessons with Garrick 7 years, and I have improved so much! He’s dedicated to his work, not for himself but to see you succeed! Garrick customizes your lesson to focus on parts of your swing at a time: this enables me to not be overwhelmed with multiple things to work on. He’s very professional and always gets the job done! Garrick is the best!!

  Garrick is an excellent instructor! He will analyze your swing diagnose any problems and show you exactly what you need to do to fix it. He can turn your game around quicker than you would have ever thought possible. One of his biggest strengths is how simply and clearly he can explain what your doing wrong and how you should correct it. He does a great job of determining the most impactful change you could make in your swing or your game and focuses correcting it. He uses videos and swing tools to really make it clear what’s wrong and how you can improve. He’s also just a fun guy to learn from who really knows the game of golf. I would recommend anyone looking to improve their game to contact Garrick for a lesson. Life’s too short to be frustrated with your game!!

What and How We Teach Golf - Malone Golf Academy

First, we identify which of the three golf skills is causing your score to be high. The three golf skills are : 1) Emotional Control 2) Decision Making 3) Ball Control. Most of our lessons are ball control related. In a ball control lesson, the next step is, figuring out what bad shot is causing you waste golf shots.
