The most caring, loving, understanding and professional staff. They love on pets as if each one were their own. If you are looking for an amazing veterinarian, this is the place to go to. Thank you Dr. Hurst for taking care of our family’s best friend. Our family greatly appreciates you!

First I saw the Google reviews and then I called to make an appointment. They answered my questions and scheduled my appointment quickly. Once I arrived, the front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly, they treated me and my pets well. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and friendly and the assistant too. My cat and puppy were calm during their visit. I have no concerns or complaints. Definitely a nice and friendly office. Highly recommended!

We have been taking our dogs and cats to Harpeth Valley Animal Hospital for more than twenty years for treatment and for boarding. We have always been extremely pleased with the quality of care and loving and caring attitude of the people who work here. My dogs sometimes liked for me to escort them to the kennel area when we boarded. I was always impressed by the cleanliness of the kennels.

So sad that three weeks ago we had to say good by to our beloved lab of almost 11 years. She had a major trauma as an 8 month old puppy and was extremely close to losing one of her back legs. When that happened Dr. Hurst quickly put us in touch with emergency medical services and we were able to save her leg and she had many years of terrific runs in Percy and Edwin Warner Parks. In the years since, Harpeth Valley has always been there for us. When we had to bring our aging lab back in early June of 2022, Dr. Hurst and Dr. Forrester calmly and with genuine sympathy explained what was going on with her. The medical personnel and all of the staff are terrific and are compassionate. I credit so much of that to Dr. Hurst. His concern for his clients is real. He sets a great example and has managed for the last 20 years or so to hire employees with the same level of concern for the pets that he has. This is a great facility that I highly recommend without reservation.

We are so thankful to have found this Vet. We really appreciate their honest and thoughtful approach to veterinary care! We have an older dog and we're expecting them to want to do numerous tests and procedures to treat her, but they didn't. She has been cared for well, and as pet owners we've been relieved to have her under Dr. Foresters care.

After only taking my dog to our hometown vet (hour and a half away), I needed to find a new vet for my pup. After calling numerous places and checking out lots of reviews, I settled on Harpeth Valley Animal Hospital. I could not be happier. My pup had an allergic reaction to something and his poor eye was almost swollen shut. I called as soon as they opened and they were able to get me in at 9 am. I arrived 10 minutes early and was called back within just a couple minutes of sitting down. The vet tech (wished I remembered her name) was absolutely fabulous. My lab is almost 7 and a big guy but she was incredibly sweet and gentle with him. The vet (Dr. Forester) was awesome as well. They quickly diagnosed the problem after a thorough exam. We were in and out in about 30 minutes with all the needed medication. After just 12 hours, the swelling was almost completely gone and my dog seems so relieved. I was nervous about going to a new vet after reading lots of bad reviews from other places of being rushed and overcharged. I felt like both the vet and the vet tech took their time and did a great job. It wasn’t cheap, but I feel like the prices were reasonable and didn’t feel as though I was overcharged. I can’t recommend these guys enough. It was well worth driving a little outside of Nashville for a good, thorough check up.
