  Karen Hoff was really helpful to me on the phone today. She seems like an honest and forthcoming on the issue. So I changed my review. I would use her as an agent.

  Karen Hoff help us tremendously with selling our home.
  On several occasions we had to contact Karen regarding questions
  about the selling process and with contractors. Our home SOLD in 47 days!!
  We would highly recommend Karen to anyone in need of a realtor, and we will us her again in the future. Karen is GREAT!!!

  My wife and I have both rented from and bought through Historic & Distinctive Homes, and both were great experiences. We spent two years renting a property from them, and Karen was always quick with a response whenever we needed info. Everyone at the office was a delight to talk to (unlike Beck & Beck, who made it clear that they had no concern whatsoever for prospective renters whenever I called about their properties for lease). You can tell that Historic & Distinctive Homes values decent tenants who take care of their properties, so we weren't living under the shadow of a suspicious landlord.
  
  Then, when our lease was up this year, we started looking for a house, so we had Bob Hoff as our agent. We have a new baby, so it was a stressful time, but Bob was always flexible and went out on a limb to make it easier for us. We know the town pretty well and already had an idea of where we wanted to be, so for us, the issue was getting insight into houses themselves, and Bob was always knowledgeable about that. When we encountered a few oddball sale situations with houses we liked (one short sale and one online auction), Bob didn't hesitate to make it work. He stayed up late one night with us to bid on a house---one that we ultimately lost---but he never lost his patience. (Side note: Never bid on a house online unless you're prepared for the most stressful week of your life).
  
  These guys also have one very crucial quality: They genuinely care about the town. They're not the sort of real estate office with dollar signs in their eyes, nor are they the sort who just picked up the career randomly. They understand real estate trends, but they also have a sense for where things are going in the long term. Highly recommended!
