Heritage at Irene Woods

Heritage is an awesome place to work. Peers and residents easily become “family”. It’s great to work in such a home like setting and care for nice people.

We had to move my parents from their home in Louisiana to Heritage very quickly. The staff & residents were the kindest & most accepting group. Over the past few years, we had to move them from independent to assisted living to memory care. The transitions were almost seamless. The staff really became family over the 5 years that my parents were residents. You could not ask for a better place for relatives to live to reduce the stress of maintaining a stand alone home.

Staff is very compassionate, vested in maintaining a high quality of life for the seniors in their care. Very clean and well-maintained, I would highly recommend for anyone looking for assisted-living for their loved ones.

Having worked in many senior living communities in the Memphis area, I have to say that Heritage at Irene Woods is by far my favorite. From the dining and housekeeping staff to the Executive Director and her team, everyone is beyond friendly and always goes out of their way to assist the residents and their families with whatever they may need. The location is super easy to access, being right off 385 at Forest Hill Irene. The food is delicious, and Chef goes out of his way to prepare the meals in an appetizing presentation. Being a soup maker myself, I think his Roasted Red Pepper Bisque is the best! The housekeeping and maintenance staff are top-notch and service the entire community with a positive attitude and a smile on their faces. The energetic and fun Life Enrichment Team always puts on some cool activities and social events to keep the residents engaged and busy. Some of the residents' favorites are Bingo, Price is Right, and (when not in a pandemic) musical entertainers for some hand-clapping, foot-stomping good time. In Assisted Living, the Care Partners and Quality Life Specialists are always taking good care of the residents and helping them to sustain their ideal quality of life. When I am providing therapy to one of the residents, I love to hear stories about how caring and sweet the staff is to them. The direct care providers really do care about these residents and truly work well together! As a contracted service provider, the Executive Director and her entire team make me and my therapy staff feel like family, which makes coming to work each day so easy. As a seasoned therapist, I can honestly say that my job satisfaction has never been greater than it is now! Working at Heritage at Irene Woods is truly gratifying. Working with seniors is my passion, and I can't think of a better place to make a difference in the residents' lives than at Heritage at Irene Woods!

I have had the great privilege to support this amazing Team for the last month. The love and care that is shown to the residents is truly heart-warming! If I was looking for a place for a family member, I would have no doubts that Heritage at Irene Woods would provide exceptional care and I would have total piece of mind
