Munford Funeral Home - Millington Chapel has the most courteous and considerate staff I have encountered. Their demeanor is pleasant, empathetic and compassionate. The empathy and desire to accommodate the family is their utmost priority. They go above and beyond to ascertain what is needed to alleviate the stress and anxiety suffered by the family during their time of grief. The "personal touch" is their specialty. I will always trust them to take care of my loved ones and me when the need arises. Thank you for taking the time and going the extra mile to make sure everything is exactly as it should be. The staff truly care about their families and the loved ones that have passed on.

In response, let us say, it is never our intent to be unprofessional, or rude. Our goal is to honor the wishes of the deceased and to work with the family members to make the service as meaningful as possible for them. In this case, the family contacted another funeral home first, and we were later contacted by a daughter-in-law inquiring if the deceased had her arrangements with us. We informed her, the deceased, did in fact, have her services arranged with us. On Friday, the 8th, one of the sons arrived to make arrangements for his mother’s service. He originally requested to do the memorial service the following Wednesday, but decided to call his brother, prior to finalizing, and together, they agreed to hold services on Saturday (the 16th) because the brother could not make it until Friday. Upon arrival, he came by the funeral home to sign his portion of the paperwork. After the service was scheduled, a daughter-in-law called about changing the service to another day. Our policy is to always contact the individual who made the arrangements and let them contact other family members. This is what was done and we were informed he would contact the other family members. The brothers were in a disagreement about rescheduling the services once they had been scheduled. Therefore, we were placed in an unfortunate position of not being able to reschedule unless both brothers agreed. We make all attempts to hold services at the family’s requested time and date. The same daughter-in-law called and asked for the owner’s name and phone number which was provided. Management has had no further correspondence with the daughter-in-law. The services were completed as scheduled and the family that attended the services have stated they were well pleased.

The most dedicated funeral professionals in the area. I’m proud of each staff member and how hard they work to assist families in a most difficult time.
