  Wow! The food is AMAZING, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is great! I'm glad we took a chance on this spot because it will now be a go to when we come back to visit! I had the Smoked Gouda Shrimp and Grits & Truffle Fries. Large portions makes it great for leftovers!

  Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly staff, huge portions; a little pricey but worth it. Get the weird stuff! The spicy chicken poboy isn’t anything you couldn’t get at a regular restaurant, but the fried oysters and catfish are excellent. The collards are good too, not overly vinegary at all. Next time we are going full gator!
  
  Get out of your comfort zone and eat a thing here your dad would go “ugh” about, you’ll be happy you did.

  Wow! This restaurant is amazing! Their food is so flavorful! I'd definitely come again! My mouth is exploding with flavor! Mmmmmm! So so good! Everything tasted amazing!!
  We got the chicken and sausage jambalaya, which was the perfect temperature, the fried alligator pour boy and brisket grilled cheese, and finish with the banana pudding.
  A friendly girl greeted us upon our arrival, to guide us to seat ourselves. Cute decorations, classy, soft, jazz music. Clean atmosphere.

  Yes , that's right, I gave my first 5-star review in months!
  
  We showed up and a sign was on the door saying they were under-staffed and service may be slow. But, service for the fully packed room was surprisingly fast, and as I looked around, all tables were soon eating and the joyful chatter of happy guests followed.
  This is a Bayou Kitchen with smokey meats (the place smelled a good bit like you've walked into a great barbecue restaurant).
  
  The shrimp and grits were a delight with a sweet and savory flavor and just the right amount of seasoning on the blackened shrimp.
  
  The boudin bomb has a unique flavor with the smoked sausage, Cajun rice, and cheesy crawfish sauce. There was a fair amount of heat in it as well.
  
  The jambalaya had smoked chicken and sausage with just the right amount of heat in the Cajun rice.
  
  The service was friendly, room was clean, and decor is well done for an older building.
  
  My only concern was that the place filled in quickly after we arrived and soon ran out of seating. There was seating outside, but no umbrellas for the hot June day. Our experience may have been different if we arrived later. We arrived around 4:15, and walked into a mostly empty room. By our departure at 5:20, the place was packed.
  
  It's popular, and for good reason!

  First time eating here and I will say we will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was delicious, some things even better than we had in New Orleans when we last visited. Also, the staff was very welcoming and attentive!!
