Opex is a fantastic gym! If you want workout plans designed with your body in mind, this is the place. The workout app makes it super easy to stay on track and every time you’re in the gym there’s a coach on the floor. This coach will ensure that you’re doing the movement optimally and to avoid injury. The owners and coaches here are stellar. Opex was a life changer in helping me recover from a fractured shoulder and regain mobility and strength. I highly recommend Opex!

I’ve been a member of OpEx Franklin for about 2.5ish months or so. Prior to that, ive had some limited gym experience holistically.

Y’all… this gym and community is a life changer. Like, legitimately a life changer.

I work with a coach 4 days a work on a personalized workout program, nutrition advice, and overall quality of life feedback. The goal isn’t just to improve your physical health… it’s how to improve your overall health and well-being.

For the training and gym itself; it’s a fairly small space. However, they have a wide variety of equipment and use the space effectively. This also gives you a more personalized experience when you work out. The trainers know you by name, they know your workout, and they know what you are struggling on.

This past Friday, I had Dennis (one of the owners and a coach), specifically help me with a bending exercise I was struggling with. He heard feedback from coaches earlier in the week that I struggled on it and knew I needed support.

The owners (Dennis and Tara) are absolutely fantastic as well and support various local Franklin businesses! This isn’t your run of the mill gym… this a community of trained individuals that WILL help you achieve your fitness goals.

Overall… if you are looking to Actually make a change in your fitness journey… go to OpEx Franklin. It’s worth it!

I began participating in OPEX in January 2018 (it was called Individual Design then) because I was looking for the customized attention it had to offer. I have a designated coach who provides workouts tailored to my individual needs and goals. He meets me where I am in ability and provides reasonable expectations, accountability and non-judgmental, honest communication. The program uses research based programming and purposefully selected tools and exercises. While OPEX is an exercise program, it uses a holistic approach that doesn’t solely focus on exercising. My coach also works with me on my nutrition and other positive health habits. I have made observable progress during my time with them; both physically as well as in regular performance assessments and feedback. Also, while the program is individualized, I am still able to work out with other people when in the gym. While we aren’t doing the same programming, we are able to converse and interact. I was a bit worried about leaving the group dynamic of other class designs, but have found that I don’t miss it as I am still able to interact with others. It’s not the cheapest program, but it is the best you’ll find, and you receive your own personal training, programming and accountability without the personal trainer cost. It is worth it, and I highly recommend OPEX Franklin. I hope to see you there soon!
