Roadhouse Bastrop

We came here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. It is casual, you seat yourself and a server will bring you menus. We received great service and our server was very friendly. Two people in our party ordered a chicken dinner that also comes with a salad (not pictured) they both loved their meals and said the chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. They said the potatoes reminded them of their grandmas cooking. Someone else ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich and they said the flavor was good but they didn’t finish the meal because they said it was too bready. I got their mushroom Swiss burger because this is a burger joint and I wanted to try what they are known for. The burgers are huge. It tasted like a burger I could make at home but it was still delicious and pretty fairly priced. Overall, we had a positive experience.

Great burgers! We had the jalapeño cream cheese burger and the bacon cheddar burger. The cream cheese burger was amazing! A must get! It wasn’t too spicy either. The regular fries were good, nothing special. The sweet potato fries were also good. Can’t wait to stop in again next time I’m driving through.

This small roadside restaurant was impressive in many ways. The Philly Cheesesteak was phenomenal and filled with rich flavor! The prices were quite reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. Also, the outdoor seating option was very nice with the warm weather. Give this little place a visit if you’re passing through town, very much worth the stop!

Dinner was delicious! Staff was very nice and attentive. Would have been five stars but the apple pie was not good...even though it looked amazing! The apples were hardly cooked and the crust had no flavor. Next time I'll go with a shake.
