Tellez Tamales & Barbacoa

This place has an excellent reputation and is very well known in town for good reason. I avoided it for years cause the line was more than I was willing to wait for but that changed today. Excellent Barbacoa and all the fixings. Just excellent and the place looks clean and very well managed. Do yourself a favor and try it. You will love it.

I come early on Wednesday/Thursday mornings for their breakfast tacos and they are delicious!! Best breakfast tacos in the area that I know of. Staff is very friendly and they make those tacos with love- and don't skimp. I only wish they were open on Mondays and Tuesdays (but then again, probably not good for my waistline, aye-aye-aye!!)

An undiscovered gem. A little out of the way. But, you won't be disappointed. Outstanding selection, carry out available, family run. Give them a try!

Great food, good prices. Don't expect professional anything these are people who make great tamales and that's it. I'm bilingual so I get in and out quickly.

Food is good and hot. Traditional Mexican dishes. Clean eating area. Not good for large groups. It is a small restaurant. One to six-person group seating is okay. Limited free parking. Great ( pork, chicken, bean) tamales are available with or without jalapeno. A good place to stop for breakfast or lunch. No free refills on drinks are available, except on unsweet tea. Eating utensils are plastic. Cash and credit cards are welcomed. Food to go is also available. Large orders for Tamales are welcomed and available with special orders by phone.
