This garden hosts plants native to the Olmos Basin, as well as vegetables and fruiting trees. The members believe it serves. to build community and educate their neighbors. The garden surrounds a pavilion built by San Antonio Parks and. Recreation in 2010.

Nature predominates in my volunteer activities. I'm a board member of the Land Heritage Institute Foundation, member and past-president of the San Antonio chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas, and a member of the steering committee for the Olmos Park Terrace Community Garden.
