  Moving around with the Air Force finding a local mechanic that is honest, trustworthy and overall reasonable prices at every location we moved to was very important. Now that I retired and moved to Schertz I was looking for that one mechanic that felt right. Mike at A Better Transmission and Automotive exceeded my expectations. Mike was able to replace my front rotors and brake pads at a very reasonable price and excellent turnaround. I highly recommend him and his mechanic shop if you are looking for great service from an honest shop.

  They fixed my AC and Transmission for cheap!! The mechanic was very explanatory and very straight with me to understand what was wrong. Thank You Rex

  I'm a Air Force veteran going through a very rough time in my life. I literally just bought a van for $800 bucks to live out of. After a few days, the van's transmission kept slipping out of gear, so I gave Mike a call (the owner) and he was happy to see the vehicle that same day. The owner and all his well seasoned employees know their stuff when it comes to transmissions and automotive servicing/ repairs. Mike has 30yrs experience and is super down to earth!!! Other shops send him work because he knows his (poop) and a plethora of automotive work. He worked with me one-on-one and gave me great service and at a steal! I also liked how Mike is extremely reasonable and honest! Everytime I called ANOTHER SHOP, for XYZ, they wanted to charge me premium ($,$$$). This place is a Godsend! This place and Main Street are now my go-to shops for all my servicing needs! I literally am going to tell all my friends about this place. Give him a call or drop by - you will not regret it!   During a rejuvination project on a 1955 F-100 custom build, my C6 transmission had to be totally gone through and rebuilt. I had heard great things about this shop and decided to bring the transmission to them. The very humble and knowledgeable staff at, "A Better Transmission and Automotive" set up the transmission perfectly to handle the 402M engine. The product they returned is phenomenal. Holds the rpms, drops into gear and sustains propulsion. Awesome work! Once installed it brought the old truck back to life. Thanks again to the staff at, "A Better Transmission and Automotive."

  All I can say is wow!!! Absolutely the best group of guys working on my truck. I had my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 come in for a small job, just battery end terminals turned out to be the problem. After that, I brought in my 2001 Ford Ranger for a problem with the transmission. They rebuilt it with top quality parts and when I got into my truck it felt like a whole different vehicle. I have to hand it to Rex and Mike, they did a fantastic job fixing my truck. Couldn't be happier. Will be using this shop from now on for sure. Thank you guys!
