Perfect for the family! There hasn't been much rain lately, so the falls were pretty dry. Also, the Blue-Green Algae was abundant and you couldn't get in the water. However, it was still a lovely site to see. Nice shaded picnic area and lots of trails if you need to get a good hike in. It is only $6 for adults and if the kiddos are under 12 they are free! We went on a weekday so it was less crowded than weekends. I would suggest buying passes online prior to visiting.

Took the family here for a day trip to hike and see the falls. We had a blast, it's so pretty and serene. Very quiet. Some trails were very easy, even partly paved, others more strenuous but my 3 year old did it. Even though we are in a drought, the water was still moving nicely, we even jumped in for a dip at the end of our hike. We will definitely be back.

This is really a beautiful place. Picturesque waterfall. It is big enough to walk or bike, you will need a few days to see all its trails. During this dry season the river is very shallow and calm, unlike last year's same dates, but anyway we had a lot of fun.
And, of course, fruitful wildlife! Raccoons, armadillos, deer, many different kinds of colorful birds and fish. the bird blind is well designed. And in the star theater we saw a stunning sunset.

This is a great park with many trails passing through woods, fields and of course the river area. Can be crowded. Swimming is allowed down river and I hear lovely though personally I have not done it. Been here many times and I recommend outside if peak summer because you can bake like a potato. Best advice if you are interested in river is to time a trip after seasonal rain.

We went for a short hike, really loved this place. Visitors need to get reservations in advance because they don't have enough parking for the crowds. The facilities crew does a really good job keeping up the maintenance The trails are nicely mixed with rocky, sandy, flat, and hilly. Beautiful view, plan a visit if nearby and better if its during the rainy season then the falls would be awesome. You can hike down to the falls. If you are coming to Austin or bear by cities, plan a trip to this park for day trip or camping, you will not get disappointed. 👍👍👍.
