  My husband & I visited Killen’s TMX tonight & it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is the perfect spot for date night or family night out. Our waiter (Randy) was very friendly & knowledgeable. The food was exceptional!!! We will definitely be returning customers!!

  My friends and I went last night for dinner in the early evening. The food was great, hot and seasoned nicely. The Brisket Queso is phenomenal, the smoke and flavors of the brisket comes through with the balance of the cheese. You could tell they were still trying to get their timing down. We ordered two apps but only one came to the table as the waiter didn’t put the second one in. They serve water in small glasses and it seems servers assistants are always at the table refilling water glasses, kind of annoying. The complementary chips are the best I’ve had in any Tex Mex restaurant, hot/fresh and already salted. Where our table was located was in direct line of sight of the rear exit door and when the sun was falling it was very annoying for folks on one side of the table having the sun light, through the uncovered door, in the side of their face for half the meal. A member of our table actually changed sides it was bothering them so much. Overall it was good experience, food was great, service was average. If you order rice and beans in addition to your entrees(no included FYI) be sure to clarify for black beans or charro because our waiter mentioned it but then didn’t ask anyone at our table which we preferred. My entree was the steak fajitas and they were very good and cooked perfectly. I’ll be going back in the near future.

  Congratulations to the Killen’s family of Restaurants! You did it again! It's tough to say what was better, the food or the service! They were both a ten. The bread pudding is the best bread pudding anywhere. Period. I have to say though the hit of the table was the fish dish grouper. Tasted more like lobster. We'll be back. Soon.

  Excellent food and service. I don't love that they are currently reservation only for the main dining room, but the seating area is somewhat limited so I understand it.
  
  We ordered quite a bit of food and left very satisfied. The octopus and chorizo appetizer was a very strong winner for the entire family, and the barbacoa short rib with the homemade blue corn tortillas were AWESOME, but the cherry on top was the amazing service we had from Tim. He was warm, friendly, and attentive. Best of all he gave us some bomb recommendations for the food. Thanks for making it a great experience Tim!
