Long overdue review for FriscoSwim which has been such a blessing to my kids.

    Staff/Culture:

The Staff is amazing! We have had such a great experience with all of our instructors. We especially love Jen and Pat who have loved on my kids and taught them so much. It is such an efficiently run business. It is super consistent and instructors are on time and prepared to make the most out of each swim session. I love the small class size of just 2 kids. They also space out classes so that you really feel like you have the pool house to yourself and the kids can focus on their lessons. Their customer service is fantastic. They are quick to reply to questions and offer scheduling help.

    Effectiveness in Coaching/Teaching:

One of my sons cried and screamed his entire first 5 weeks and the teachers were so loving and encouraging and helped me to understand this was a normal process. I am so glad I listened because he basically skipped into week 6 and giggled his entire session.

My kids have very different personalities and the teachers are so great at adapting their teaching style to each kiddo. One of mine is more timid and scared. He is super chatty and gets distracted. Pat has been such an incredible teacher for him. He is my kid that dreads all after school activities but BEGS me to take him to swim with Mrs. Pat. He tells me she is super tough and makes him do hard things. This has equated to so much growth for him. He has broken through so many barriers with her coaching and encouragement. He has overcome his fear of the diving board and most recently accomplished a perfect cannonball.

The teachers are so great at giving kids positive feedback and encouragement during the lessons. They also build relationships with the parents and provide feedback and encouragement to us as well. I am amazed at how much progress the kids make each lesson. It is so encouraging to see their confidence in the water. Swimming is such an important life skill and my kids are swim safe because of FriscoSwim.

    Fun Factor:

My kids love going to FriscoSwim! They make the lessons so much fun. They pack in so much during the 30 minute sessions and the kids learn so much. They always bring a new level of creativity to each swim session. They use superhero dive toys, fun races/competitions and today the kids even played a fun game of catch in the pool. The kids get to act out their favorite superhero when they jump off the diving board. I have even seen an underwater pretend pizza and soda party which my kids LOVED.

We have had a lot of " one hit wonder" after school activities, sports lessons etc that provided little value, skill or fun. The kids were not excited about returning. FriscoSwim has been a consistently rich environment where my kids have thrived, been well loved and always leave looking forward to their next lesson.

I can’t say enough great things about Ms. Pat and Frisco Swim School. My 5 year old took swim classes all last summer and in two lessons far surpassed what she had learned all summer long. The 1:2 ratio is perfect and the level of teaching is above average! They make it fun but don’t let kids panic, give up or succumb to any fear or doubt. In 4 days (level 1/ 1 week class) she is swimming own her own underwater, jumping off the diving board and able to tread in the deep end. I’m blown away! I should add, with everything related to the pandemic they have created a super safe environment. Teachers are wearing face shields in the water and they have sanitizer readily available upon entry. They also have all the chairs properly distanced. Because its opened to the outside, there is plenty of air flow. You don’t feel like you are suffocating like typical enclosed pools. I would highly recommend this school!

Our experience with Frisco Swim has been really amazing. A great place for all ages and levels - our youngest (4yrs) has been taught life saving skills and swimming basics in a short amount of time. Our older 3 (6, 8, 11yrs) have been taught skills to help them improve dramatically in their strokes and ability to compete. Everyone is so friendly and kind and communication is very fast and helpful.

We love Ms. Pat and Mr. Mark! Our kids had been in lessons for 2 years elsewhere. They did ok in the water but still couldn't swim independently. After 3 lessons, both kids were independent! Now we have some great swimmers that we don't have to swim with now that we have our own pool! They are great people!

We absolutely LOVE FriscoSwim!! My son went from screaming in the pool, to loving to swim in just a short 2 week summer swim lesson. As a swimming myself, I love that they teach the correct technique and also make sure the students learn water safety as well! They know what they are doing and have such a passion for swimming and water safety it shows. Class sizes are small too which means more 1:1 attention!
