While I did not attend this Sunday (not feeling well), we are making it the new home of First Presbyterian Church. Slowly the Corinth members are attending as well . Beautiful church, lovely stained glass windows. They have a pump organ which my son Adam has taken a shining to. . He is the Organist and Choir Director, but choir is on hold until post COVID. .I look forward to the membershipgrowing.
Kindhearted people.
My church homes are FUMC Plano and Community UU Church right next door. Today, I skipped services at both churches because I figured the parking lots would be packed from the balloon festival. Instead, I attended Corinth Presbyterian Church in Parker, and I want to encourage y’all to do the same, even if you have a church home (or two).
This church is truly historic, having been built in the late 1800s. I’ve driven by it for many years and always wondered what it looked like on the inside, and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s bright and airy, with beautiful stained glass imagery and historic architecture. The congregation is small but mighty, and I received a very special welcome, since I was the only visitor today. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m going to add this church to my monthly rotation - it made that much of an impression on me.
If you are a Parker resident, or live nearby, I encourage you to check out this historic church - service is at 11am. If you don’t currently have a church home, maybe this is the place for you. If you already have one, maybe you could add this one into your rotation. I just can’t get over how lovely it was, and how welcome the congregation made me feel.
That’s all!
Corinth Presbyterian is the church I searched for . My main criteria was for warm people, good preaching and Bible study and above alll HYMNS I know!
This church is a wonderful place to worship on Sundays and any time. Caring and warm people
are there each Sunday.we have an outstanding minister Doug, who not only preaches well, he
also is a super Bible study teacher for adults. I'm 70 and have learned more at our study than just
about any I've ever attended. Every one has a voice The church is in a remodel state at present and we have the bestleader for this in the pastor's wife, Marilyn.
I highly recommend this church to anyone who wants a traditional worship service with traditional hymns. To me, this is something very needed. What I appreciate most of all are the traditional hymns we sing.
SEE YOU SUNDAY Elaine
