  We stopped by while in the Canyon Lake area. Tried the pulled pork tacos that were the weekend special and the 1/4 brisket. Missed the potatoes that sold out. Great BBQ!!

  I have been to Nik's Not Normal twice now and was blown away both times. My first time there, I went for their legendary baked potato's but they had already sold out. After experiencing the brisket, I can certainly see why they sell out of things! Everything on the menu I've tried has been better than excellent. This is my new favorite BBQ spot!
  
  The people there are friendly, the portions are generous and the pricing is the best at the lake I think. Regardless, food quality is superb and I endorse Nik's Not Normal fully! A trip to Canyon Lake would not be complete without a stop here.

  Absolutely the *nicest* people work here! They were out of sausage but I feasted on the delicious brisket and turkey. The brisket was melt in your mouth like butter GOOD. The pesto sauce served with the turkey was a pleasant surprise. I am a BBQ fanatic and this did not disappoint. I highly recommend you stop by and have a beer and some great food!

  Owners are very nice. Food is Great!! We got the trinity with brisket, turkey and sausage and the loaded brisket mac and cheese. The pistachio pesto was delicious and paired perfect with the turkey. Brisket bark was sooo tasty, and it passed the bend test. Sausage was good just didn't like casing on sausage but the sausage was good. BBQ sauce tasty and not too overwhelming and the homemade picked onions were good too. Oh and free beer....You Must stop by if in area.

  So I am going to have to keep the 5-star trend going. Food was great. I did the Trinity plate featuring their brisket, Turkey and a link. They had me try out their broccoli salad. I hate broccoli but wow did I like their salad. Very nice. Meats where great and did someone say free Lone Star??? Yep. Check them out. They are working to have later season hours.
