Had a great experience here. My grandma had her friend stay here and she received great care. I was thoroughly impressed with the constant communication as well. I loved all the activities my grandmas friend was involved in. They had games, ice cream parties, & lots of bingo she said. There werent many places i visited that had all levels of care like this one. Im glad we made the decision.
This place was absolutely wonderful. My favorite first impression was the marketer, Stacy, she was thorough, she answer all my questions, and she followed up pretty quickly. The hardest part is placing a loved one, and when you work with a facility like the villages of Dallas, it makes things less stressful. This place actually really opens up when you arrive. They house independent living, assisted living, and they also house memory care. They also Are a nursing facility, So they do skilled care as well. This facility is right by life school, right off of Ann Arbor, in Oak Cliff.Honestly the prices are really reasonable for everything that they offer, the place is huge, lots to do activity wise, and everybody there has been working there for so long, it says a lot about the company.
Us brothers are thoroughly impressed with the care & overall experience with the villages of dallas! Everyone is really nice, facility is clean, & nurses are really on top of their game. There was a particular housekeeping staff, she was funny & really sweet. We happen to come on a day there was music & food, pretty awesome.
I have lived here for four years. The staff is friendly and eager to please. The grounds are well maintained and great for walking about. Maintenance requests are filled promptly. Food in the dining room is good. Staff knows the residents names. We are kept up to date on happenings at the Villages. I highly recommend it as a place to spend my retirement years.
My late husband and I made the decision to downsize and move to The Villages several years ago. He was retired; but I was still working in Downtown Dallas. He had also been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's some years previously. We knew he would eventually need more care than I would be able to provide. The Villages offers full Continuing Care. We moved into a beautiful spacious two bedroom/two bath Cottage in the Retirement community on campus. As my husband's health declined, he moved into the Memory Care/Health Care areas where he received excellent care (health as well as amazing Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy) during the final two years of his life. Throughout this time, I was just a brisk three minute walk away. Since my husband's passing, I've been asked if I'm going to stay here. And I've always responded - "of course, I'm staying". I have everything I need - a beautiful home and wonderful amenities. No maintenance issues to worry about. And equally important, I found a circle of good friends and staff who have been so supportive. All this being said, I would highly recommend The Villages to anyone who might find themselves in a similar situation to my husband and I.
