(August 12, 2018, 1:49 am)Despite a lot of the negative reviews, I went to see if the owner or register guy was really as bad as people say, and to be honest, I thought he was quite nice. He just seemed a little bit out of it, tired, stressed, or all three. I'm sure he might have been considering the difficulty of running a business such as this.
As for the products, you'll see a lot of great new free weights and bumper plates to select from for good prices, good variety, and reasonable stock (Only some cheaper bumper plates were sold out when I went). There's plenty of commercial gym quality equipment as well that can cater to almost anyone.
As for the negatives, all I can think of is that the two employees there were somewhat pushing information about sales, deals, or combos onto me with every item I looked at. Not a big deal, but I prefer just looking around on my own without someone nearby watching for what I look at.
I was definitely surprised by the selection of equipment available, and even more surprised by the lack of rudeness from the owner/manager that everyone seems to gripe about.
I walked out that day with two 25lb brand new bumper plates for only $65 before tax and I'm glad I got them here. Definitely give the store a try, but I definitely recommend just coming in and looking around for yourself rather than calling in or going through their website, because some things can be sold out and unavailable, and you'll never really know until you take a look in the back warehouse section.
