  Our puppy had a horrible allergic reaction, her mouth was so swollen, hives everywhere, it was awful looking. We had no clue what she had gotten but we suspected insect bites. I called the ER, they registered us over the phone, and greeted us at the door. The front desk associate was super friendly and reassuring. She put on a gown and immediately took our puppy back. The doctor came in shortly after and assured us she would be fine. She took the time to explain everything to us. After about an hour the sweet vet tech brought her to us. We were out with a very reasonable bill.
  
  Once we got home our puppy went outside and grabbed the remains of a wasp nest. Since her swelling had come down so much I was able see the multiple stings in her mouth and ears.
  I called the ER to update them and the doc took the time again to discuss expectations and when to return. Fortunately, our pup has recovered completely.
  
  Thank you for saving our girl, again.

  I’ve had to come here twice. The first time, the outcome was not good as it turned out I needed to put my dog to sleep. Despite how awful that was for me, the staff’s kindness and compassion made what was a horrible day for just a little less horrible. They treated my sweet boy so well in his final moments bringing him chocolate and all kinds of treats and gave me as much time as I needed. I was never rushed out of the office, even after he went to sleep. They shut the door and told me they would be outside whenever I was ready. The second time I went, we feared the worst for our other dog but ended up being more fortunate. They were able to figure out what was wrong and give us what we needed to take him home. We did have to wait a long time because they had several life threatening patients come in while we were there and they would put us to the side to tend to them, which is completely reasonable as our boy was doing fine. But despite their several emergencies, they still took good care of us and communicated well throughout. They apologized several times for the wait even though we told them each time we understood what was going on. No one ever wants to have to end up at this place as it’s an emergency clinic, but if it comes down to it, this is where I would take my babies.

  If I could give more stars I would.
  My sweet fur baby Diesel aka Dinky had a urinary blockage and needed immediate care. Shannon & Megan at the front desk welcomed us upon arrival and were so kind, immediately taking him to the back to be treated.
  Amanda, (such a sweet, lovely young lady) then came in to go over the treatment plan & estimate. I was taken back a bit by the cost ($4k), but it is emergency services, and I am thankful I was in a position that I could try everything possible to help my pet. Care Credit is a helpful plan and all should look into it.
  Diesel ended up staying a full week, I went daily to visit him, Always welcomed with a smile. Most times I had to go to the hospital area due to him having IV, & a catheter. The assistants Skylar, Melody, Lauren cared for my baby as if he were their own and they made me feel at ease with he care he was receiving. They promptly responded to texts and sent me pictures of my Dinky throughout the day.
  The veterinarians were top notch, they were thorough, took the time to call me in the evening, meet with me on numerous occasions to discuss Diesel's treatments.
  Unfortunately, my baby, had many underlying issues and even after all attempts to save him, his little body couldn't fight any longer and he crossed Rainbow Bridge.
  This entire staff went above and beyond for my sweet boy and I cannot thank them enough. They treated me and my family like their family. I love all of them.

  We had an unfortunate accident on Saturday afternoon with one of our fur babies. Of course, our vet was already closed at noon so we remembered she had told us about Denton County Animal ER for any such emergencies. The receptionists were so friendly and welcoming. The vet explained the whole procedure and told us up front the cost, which was a surprisingly fair price! They did have to keep our dog for several hours but not at an extra cost which I was afraid of initially. They took great care of her and stitched her back up under anesthesia, to prevent more trauma and pain. We picked her up and she's on the mend. They did a great job and we would definitely recommend this place for anyone with after hours/weekend/holiday emergencies.

  This place is outstanding. The staff is professional and courteous. They ensure they explain everything thoroughly. Fair warning... it is emergency care, so it can become pricey. But without a doubt they will do everything possible for the care of your pet.
