I highly recommend Rebecca S. Lymphedema therapist. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and above all caring. My lymphedema concerns have been addressed. The swelling is in control through therapy and compression.Through therapy She has helped me to go from being bed bound to becoming mobile and able to complete many daily tasks I was not be able to do.

Outstanding! For certain insurance reasons I was not able to be treated at this clinic, however, Rebecca Summers took a professional interest to give me recommendations of places to find treatment, follow-up phone calls and several emails along with literature to read to help educate me. Rebecca Summers is a true professional and caring caregiver. Thank you!

Great experience. This establishment serves homebound patients and it's nice not to have to go to a clinic if you need the therapy, whether you are homebound or not. My understanding is that there is office space available if this is not your preference, but with COVID about, why not stay home? I'm a middle-aged adult female living with cerebral palsy. After several childhood surgeries and a sedentary job, I've had many years of swelling in my feet and legs. There was a sudden change - the swelling moved to my upper body, limiting my physical ability drastically almost overnight. My doctor mentioned lymphedema so I started looking around for a specialist.

The admin assistant on the phone was very knowledgeable. She was able to answer many of my initial questions without having to refer me to a therapist or billing person, so I set up an appointment for an evaluation.

The initial evaluation was extremely informative. If you have chronic swelling, you need compression. My therapist knows all there is to know about compression. From evaluating what you are using and pointing out custom products to taking measurements and tailoring solutions to your situation, these people can help you get the swelling down and become more mobile. Both swelling and compression can cause skin problems.
They can teach you about skin care and recommend the best products to help you avoid common problems. They can show you different ways to put your stockings on and off by yourself (for arms too). I've tried to remain fiercely independent as an adult with a disability, but this experience taught me there is a whole world of people and patients that live with chronic swelling for various reasons. Though I've gotten by on my own, l learned that I don't always know the best way or the best products to deal with these problems, but my therapist did. If you're living with chronic swelling, it's worth it just for the evaluation to let them show you different things you can do. I thought I'd seen everything I could on YouTube...not true.

I had a few therapy sessions for manual fluid drainage that did improve the swelling, though not to the extent the therapist is used to seeing. It does very obviously work. It turns out I don't have lymphedema proper and the reasons for my swelling are inflammatory. The therapist suspected this from the very beginning, but was willing to try the manual drainage therapy. As we did this, we discussed events and symptoms and they helped me research my problems to see if we could get to the bottom of things, also helping the doctors move in the right direction. There were ample suggestions of different imagery and treatment to pursue as well as links provided by email to help figure things out.

Who does that? To me, this was all well over and above what was required for the price and has been very much appreciated. The doctors are still scratching their heads and running tests, but the folks at LTS are well versed in this specialty and related symptoms. They could have prolonged treatment since the manual drainage was having some effect. Instead, they discharged me as soon as they knew from experience that I would need to find my underlying medical problem before moving forward to see better results.

I highly recommend them. The only downside for me was that they were out of network for my insurance, but the service was worth every penny. I would have paid that and more for all the help I got. Still, check first. Even the out of network rates are the lowest around. I looked. If I ever get to a place where my swelling just won't go down and I need the manual drainage, I know who to call. On the first day my ankle measured 28.2 cm. Today it measures 23 cm. I'll take it. Thank you LTS.
