The Hueco Hacienda

The Hacienda was a fantastic home base for us for a long trip to Hueco. The community fostered by the incredibly gracious hosts Kyung and Mike was a real treat. The house is appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay and Kyung went above and beyond to help us throughout our week at the Hacienda.

Mike is a great climbing guide, and going out on tour with him was always a great day of climbing. In addition to all of his great beta, Mike took the time to show us rock art, take in the natural beauty of Hueco Tanks, and shared interesting facts about the landscape and history of the area.

The Hacienda is a terrific place to stay while climbing in Hueco Tanks. I was impressed and look forward to staying there again on my next visit.

The Hacienda is incredibly close to the Park— I opened the curtains in my room each morning to see where we would be climbing.

The accommodations are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, and I loved all of the recovery tools in the great room.

Kyung is a thoughtful and gracious host, and his sourdough bread was a real treat. Mike is an excellent guide with plenty of helpful insight. Arranging tours with him through the Hacienda is super convenient. Their rentable crash pads sure came in handy.

Staying at the Hacienda was one of the best parts of being at Hueco. The environment is very sociable and the accommodations are as good as you'll find at a climber hostel. The hosts, Tasha and Scott are unbelievably nice and very helpful with all aspects of climbing at the Tanks. I can't imagine staying anywhere else at Hueco.

The Hueco Hacienda is the best place to stay while on a climbing trip to Hueco Tanks. The house managers Scott and Tasha are wonderful hosts and some of the nicest people I have ever met. The price is fair and the comfort level is unmatched in the area. Less than five minutes from the climbing and with running water, hot showers and clean beds, you cant go wrong. All the comforts of home while still being right next door to the best climbing in the country. Thanks Hacienda!

I found The Hacienda by chance and I feel very lucky! It's a very nice place hosted by Tasha and Scott. They are really nice people, kind and helpful! If you are looking for a comfortable place to enjoy Hueco Tanks there is no better place to stay! Scott also is a very good guide to discover the secrets of Hueco, he will show you not only the best bouldering problems but also the hidden history of this amazing place.
