I have a Maxum 2400sr and my stater went out after a year and a half of being replaced at a place I would never use again. I replaced the starter with a OEM from Mercruiser. However, I had water in one of the cylinders and had to replace the spark plugs. Since my boat is a 2003, I felt the exhaust flappers went out.

I called fiberglass and more and to see if He’d be up to changing them. What I got was beyond amazing. Since I live in Arlington, he wanted to make sure I looked at every angle before driving to Ennis.

After exchanging text messages and photos of my engine compartment, he asked that I try something. I did that as well as talk to my old retired boat mechanic and found out it was not the flappers. Knock on wood it will work for years to come. In the event that it does not, I have a set of exhaust flappers ready to go in, when the time comes.

I can thank you enough for your help. I also look forward to bring my boat there next week for a detail job!
