  I love this little local shop. They have done 3 pieces for me now and I am always delighted with the professional results! I love that I can walk in and know I’ll get great recommendations especially since I never really understand what I’m looking for, just an idea. They are so great at helping direct me to the right design and give recommendations that work perfectly for each unique piece. I know I’ll get the right esthetic and quality work that will look stunning in my home for years to come. I also love supporting local businesses whenever I can!

  We have a couple of giclee prints that we bought years ago, pre-framed from a gallery, that were beginning to look dated. We thought we still liked the prints and hoped they'd be "salvageable" with new frames - but also wondered whether it would be worth it. We took them in to Katy Art & Custom Framing "just to see" - and that turned out to be a great decision!
  
  Lindy was wonderful: she listened carefully to all we had to say, we had fun trying out various alternatives, and the eventual choices truly breathed new life into the prints themselves - bringing out highlights and character that the original framing subdued. We couldn't be happier with the process and the results!
  
  (Unfortunately, no pictures to prove it as we're still figuring out where best to hang them to add needed brightness and freshness to our rooms!)

  Katy Art and Custom Frame did a remarkable job making custom frames for two O'Keeffe landscape prints of our favorite vacation spot. They had a vast assortment of frame style and wood tones from which to choose; it wasn't difficult to find the perfect match for my needs.
  The attribute that separates these guys from the chains, is KA&CF's expertise in proportioning and aesthetics. They offer sage suggestions on how much to trim borders and the necessary width of the frame for the overall size. I don't know if it was the quality of the prints, but once framed, in the lighting where they were hung, the paper appeared wavy. I reached out for advice (thinking maybe I bought cheap prints) and they were keen to remedy the situation. My prints were adhered to a special board for a smooth finish which eradicated the issue. They were insistent that I should be satisfied with my art.
  I recommend KA&CF without reservation for their integrity, expertise and quality of product.

  Just picked up my first framing from here and I love it! The staff was very helpful with recommendations and i will definitely be coming back.
