This is a hidden gem located in kitty hollow Park. It is only open once a week for a couple of hours but if you like history and want to know about the local history of Fort Bend county this is worth the visit. The two tour guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. It is a beautiful Plantation home and filled with artifacts from the Dew family.
This historical house is located inside, toward the end of kitty hollow park. The house was relocated here from hwy 6. This house belonged to Dew family who owned the cotton gin, sugar cane factory and the land around the quail valley area. The house was cut into 2 and moved to the park. Admission is free. There are volunteers who can give you a tour. This is a 2 story building and has a display of the store and the post office belonged to the family on the second floor. It's a must visit for history lovers.
