Wonderful walk through history. Perfect individuals who really get into character, with the surroundings that portray a world forgotten. Great for a family country historic outing.
The Historical park is a beautiful location outside of Houston. They have a collections of houses that tell the history of the area and the start of Texas. The staff and volunteers are very knowledge, friendly and excited to share the history. Such a marvelous place.
Loved the Texian Days!!! Took my 16 and 21 year old sons out to tour the houses, watch the battles, experience the rich history of the high school that bears the name of the working ranch they have graduated from and attend currently. The stories and activities were fantastic and the tours in each house gives you a perspective on time pieces. The working ranch is still a working ranch and they have a tram to carry you from house to house if you need a lift.
Love it here. We went on a super slow weekday and there was barely anyone else there. It was great! A little hot but the tram they have helps out a lot with that. Very helpful staff and volunteers. Everyone was very sweet and informative. Sat with some of the staff and chatted for quite a while. It was really nice. We will definitely be back! Glad to have something like this so close to home. Love the self paced atmosphere and tons of historical facts and information. Can't wait to go back when it's not 90+ degrees so we can walk more than wait for the tram.
