Excellent knowledge. The doctor is the only pediatrician i have seen that can tell the, difference among various rash. Very experienced and knowledgable, pro-breastfeeding. Cautious on treatment and doesn't give unnecessary antibiotics. My two sons have years good experience with her.
Love love love Dr. Sung. She's been my kids' pediatrician for four years since my older one was born. She could be strict, direct and honest but she does it all with passion and love for our children. She's always available for our kids whenever they are sick, always takes care of them and let us know what we could do as parents. I would highly recommend for those who have new born children. But, she's not there to please you, parents. She's there to educate parents how to care for their children. For example, I didn't have much milk in the beginning but Dr. Sung gave me so much information & support for me to try out at home and I am forever grateful for her. My older one is allergic to any dairy, peanuts and shell-fish. If it were not for her, my son would probably had to take alimentum formula, which is "yucky" so to speak. My second one was totally breastfed until he started taking cow's milk.
She's very thorough and detail oriented. She picked up on every little details about your child's health and life style and give you HONEST suggestions as a health professional. One time, one of my co-worker brought her daughter to her for a visit. Although her son was not being seen, Dr. Sung picked up little clue about his speech and told my co-worker that he needs attention on that area. How thoughtful!! Highly recommend!!
Dr. Sung for sure is not a doctor to be there for making parent happy that kind of doctor. If you need a doctor to make you feel good, look for someone else. If you are a strong parent who looks for the best practice and honest suggestions, Dr. Sung is here. She spent TWO WHOLE HOURS with us at our first visit. She asks all the questions in order to know you and your family environment to make sure you are doing the right thing with your baby. She is not afraid to offend you if she sense any thing that might cause hazard or harm to baby. Again, she is your baby's doctor, looking for doing the best for your baby. I choose her and stay with her because of it.
