I can't speak to the facility or programs itself. All I can say is that a person named Andrew was extremely helpful when I called looking for help. He went out of his way to find and recommend facilities that would better fit my needs for non-addiction psychological services for my partner, and even educated me on the situation in Texas and what I can expect and what to look for.

If you somehow get to read this, thank you so much Andrew. It was probably only a 10 minute call, but I am so grateful to you for the information you went out of your way to provide when you didn't have to. I've had to deal with a lot of medical personnel and offices over the last few months. All I can say is I wish the world had more people like Andrew in it.

Healing Springs Ranch literally changed my life. I personally was struggling with addiction. I chose Healing Springs because of their treatment approach. They believe in treating the whole person, and not just the addiction. They offered cutting edge therapy, and in an assortment of varieties. Equine, Art, Music, Psychodrama, Mindfulness/Meditation, Anger Management, etc. They promoted not just a healthy mind, but a healthy body as well. The food provided was extremely nutritious, but also very delicious, and made on-site by a chef. When considering Healing Springs,, I was captivated by pictures of a serene country environment, and was excited about all of the different amenities they offered. Kayaking, fishing, corn hole, bocce ball, horseshoes, a pool, and even a golf course on-site.

To be honest, I made the decision to go, even though I didn’t have the belief in myself that I would be able to overcome the addiction. I was at an all-time low though, and truly felt I had nothing to lose. At the very least, even if I learned nothing, I felt that being able to escape from the day to day stresses for a month or more would be a relief by itself. The time would give me the opportunity to focus on myself, with a clear mind, and allow me to work toward positive changes, without distraction.

I was so happy when I actually got to Healing Springs and started participating in their program. I was overwhelmed with the kindness of all of their staff. Everyone who worked there genuinely cared, and you could really feel it in every detail of the facility and program. In fact, the owners of the company taught group classes multiple times per week as part of the regular schedule. That went a long way with me... because where I come from, you don’t often see the owners involved in the day to day like that. I was impressed.

I also especially liked that the facility was relatively small in terms of the amount of clients that they saw. We had no more than about 30 people max. I felt like this allowed for more intimate/personalized group sessions. It also allowed us clients to be able to meet with our therapists Individually three times per week.

The more I learned about addiction, and the more I learned about myself, the more I became determined to get involved in mental health and substance abuse. This became a passion of mine. Passion and purpose was a big piece of the puzzle for me. I was working in a career that didn’t fulfill me, or provide me with a sense or passion or purpose. It was at Healing Springs that I realized how important both are for a person to be happy, and to thrive.

I spent 30 days there as a client. During that time I did a hard reset on my life. I changed jobs, homes, friends, and more. I set healthy boundaries with the people still in my life. I put myself first, and made my health and my happiness a priority. I learned how to feel my feelings, instead of just ignoring them or numbing them. I learned coping skills and strategies for dealing with things that were/are painful to me. I feel like I was given the tools and taught the skills to help me become the very best version of myself. This is something I work toward every day.

As I write this today, I’ve been sober for just over three years. Three years ago, if I could have planned where I would be today, and given myself the “perfect” life, I would have sold myself short. My life now is far greater than I could have ever fathomed.

Thank you Healing Springs Ranch for EVERYTHING!

I've worked in this field for well over 8 years. I've only worked for Healing Springs about 4 months but I've never seen a staff of clinicians pull together and work so hard to ensure every client is treated well. The heart and compassion at this facility is evident. If you are considering Healing Springs Ranch, a tour of the place will certainly convince you! Serene, sacred, peaceful. My measure of a great treatment center is to ask myself, "Would I be willing to send a loved one there?" You bet! So glad I work for this place!
