Kingsland West Apartments

I certainly recommend living in aldea because
1) great management
2) good customer service
3) clean
4) modern
5) the area is very safe

I've lived here a little over a year & a half now and I absolutely love it. By far the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. Parking is never an issue. It's always quiet. Maintenance is on point! I've never had any major issues, but they usually send someone within 24 hours. My AC went out this Summer and they sent someone out within an hour, even though it was towards the end of the business day. Everyone in the leasing office is super friendly and genuinely try to help you. After Hurricane Harvey, I had some weird charges show up on my bill from the utility company. When I brought it up to the office, there was no argument , they took care of it right away and i wasn't charged. The apartments themselves are beautiful! Spacious, clean, and very open. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new home.

Pros:
I have lived here for 11 months and mostly enjoyed it. The inside of the apartments are very nice and the maintenance team is great. The pool and gym were also enjoyable, and the property is always well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Harvey:
I felt like the apartment handled hurricane Harvey decently. The best thing they did was pause our rent payments, even though we weren't on the first floor. We were unable to return for about a week, but rent was paused for 3 weeks. There was some miscommunication on their part, but this was a natural disaster and there was a lot of uncertainty. The issue we ran into was no one told us our mail wasn't going to be delivered for a month and that we needed to go to the post office.

Cons:
We regularly heard the people below us arguing and when they weren't home their yappy dog would bark constantly. The people across from us never figured out how to put their trash out correctly and Aldeia wasn't able to enforce their own rules. The people would leave their trash out on days it wasn't picked up and it would just sit there and stink. Then they started leaving only the bag of trash outside, not in the can.

My biggest issue with living here was all the roaches. We have battled roaches for the last 2 or 3 months (a big reason we are moving). The bug guy has come and sprayed inside multiple times, we have poison traps around our kitchen, and we follow all the recommendations about living cleanly. Our best guess is our neighbor has them because they only come from the wall that is shared between our kitchens. Unfortunately, there is nothing that we or Aldeia can do about that.

I moved to Aldeia West Apartments on 02/2018. I completed my application and tour virtually, so...I never saw the apartment prior to my move-in! Wow!!! I was truly NOT disappointed!!! I have the best of everything: Madison and an attentive caring staff...awesome amenities with the full-gym, beautiful Olympic-style pool...a clubhouse that offers my Starbucks free...AND, location, location, location...five minutes from shopping and I-10!!! Who could ask for anything more?!!!
