Very friendly, knowledgeable staff and Doctor that is practical on protocol!
Dr. Pappa and her staff are nothing short of extraordinary! The procedure was the best thing I’ve done for myself and I can already see the results.
Vein disease runs in my family and I’ve been putting off treatments for years. My only complaint is that I have had to drive the almost 3 hour round trip to ten different appointments but that is because of how insurance pays and not the clinic’s fault.
As far as the other review about them lying about insurance paying- there is a disclosure you sign saying that if for some reason insurance decides not to cover that the patient is responsible to pay. This is why I waited until I got my pre-approval letter from my insurance company stating they will cover the cost BEFORE continuing treatment. You should also call your insurance yourself and verify that they will pay. The clinic also said they wait for approvals from insurance so I don’t know what was up with the other review. My insurance actually ended up paying more than what they said they would and I got credit.
You can watch the ultrasound and ask questions and they explain everything. Blue is blood going up, red is reflecting back, etc. This way you can see for yourself the treatments need done. It is a lot when they have to laser multiple times and inject multiple times. But the staff explain everything and are very friendly and courteous. I went to the Southwest Fwy clinic in Houston and have zero complaints. I still have a few appointments to go but I am glad I am getting my legs taken care of.
Ps- if you know you will need treatments and your insurance won’t cover some or all of the cost put money into a healthcare flex spending account or HSA, keep your receipts to send in but you can pay for it that way too.
My 1st visit was great the staff and doctor were courteous and polite. The 1st procedure I panicked bloodpressure roseup but the team was very patient and kept check on me until it came down and was safe to proceed . Which during the treatment we laughed and talked and it was over so quickly no pain a very little discomfort and now I can hardly wait for my next visit a little ways to go but totally satisfied with Dr. Pappa and her staff. ????????
