  My allergy history and treatment is complex. I have always suffered from seasonal allergies. I took Zyrtec for years. I took it year round. Suddenly in 2015, I broke out in severe total body hives. The itching was unbearable! I could not rest. I could not go out in public. A local allergist treated me with steroids and Xolair injections. However, every 2 mos the hives returned, and I had to take additional steroids. This wreaked havoc on my diabetes. After a year and a half of disappointing results, I came to Dr. Nguyen for a consultation in February 2017. I researched him on the web, and was impressed with is bio. He confirmed the diagnosis previously given of chronic idiopathic urticaria. He ordered oral medications to supplement the Xolair injections. Now, we are slowly trying to withdraw these medications in a systematic fashion. It has not been easy, but things are much better than the 2 previous years. We have made great medical advanced in some areas. But some body systems remain a mystery. The autoimmune system is one of these. We are a "I want results right now" society. I have had to learn patience with this condition. I have the utmost trust and confidence in Dr. Nguyen! He has made a difference.

  I have suffered from seasonal allergies and eczema all my life until I came to Dr. Nguyen about two years ago. I cannot say enough good things about him. He is experienced, knowledgeable, and kind. Unlike most physicians, he takes time to thoroughly address all my questions and concerns and makes sure that I am comfortable with our treatment plan during each visit. On top of the wonderful care that I have received from Dr. Nguyen, I am amazed at how quick and attentive the service is at Texas Allergy. The staff always makes me feel at home by remembering my name and getting me in and out in a timely manner. Also, the office is spotless, which is always a plus. I would recommend Texas Allergy to everyone!

  I've bee coming to this office for my Xolair treatment program for a few years now and I would strongly recommend Dr. Doanh Nguyen and his staff. I picked the location near bellaire because it was on my way to work and the hours worked for me. However getting to know Dr. Doanh, I am very glad I chose this place for my treatment. He is a kind man who is very very good at what he does. His staff members are very patient with me and do not have a problem answer any questions I have. The office has gotten a lot busier since I first came here, so at times I did have to wait, but Dr. Doanh has never rushed our visits and has provided the same level of care since day one.

  Ever since my boys have been under Dr. Nguyen's care, my boys rarely get sick. Dr. Nguyen tested them to find out what was causing them to get sick and put them on a regimen that helps the boys stay healthy. My pediatrician commented on how she doesn't see the boys anymore except for their annual check ups. My family is very happy with Dr. Doanh Nguyen and his staff!

  I always thought I had allergies, but I never had considered allergy shots (I had no idea how much of a difference it could make). I was referred to Dr. Nguyen by my sister, and my only regret was not coming to him sooner! Through Dr. Nguyen I found out I was severely allergic to dust mites, which was something I had never even considered. Dr. Nguyen was very accommodating to my tight schedule, and I was able to complete all of my initial shots before maintenance in one summer! The shots didn't hurt, the office was very nice, and most importantly my allergies have significantly improved. Before the shots, I thought I could never have a dog, but now I'm looking into getting one, and I feel better than I ever have! Dr. Nguyen is very thorough and discovered I also have asthma. He prescribed me medicine to take regularly, and I've noticed a difference in my ability to breath clearly. My quality of life has improved significantly and I am very thankful for the Texas Allergy Group. I would seriously recommend anybody to see Dr. Nguyen, he is an excellent physician who genuinely cares about his patients.
