  Avalon on Tuckerton was the best place for my dad. It was a very nice home away from home. The staff gave excellent care and was always extremely kind and accomodating.

  When it came time that my dad needed round-the-clock care, my husband and I took a weekend and visited many facilities. Avalon was the first place we looked. We were highly impressed; the place is built for 20 or fewer residents, and we liked that it wasn't so big that Dad might get lost in the shuffle. The employee-to-resident ratio was the best of ALL the seven places we visited. The resential rooms were among the largest of all the facilities, and each room has its own bathroom, another plus! More than all of this, we were impressed with the gentleman who gave us the tour of Avalon, and his seemingly genuine love of the place and the residents, a few of whom he introduced us to, which was nice. After visiting several other places, we ended up moving Dad into Avalon, the first place we looked. It has been one of the best things we've ever done for him. This family is the nicest, most helpful group of folks, and their staff are the same. They are so good to my dad, and that means everything! I am welcome to come and go there anytime of the day or night, which is nice, and I am also welcome to join Dad for meals, which I have done, and the food is always delicious. I have never had anything there that wasn't good! Its good to know he is getting good, healthy food and I don't have to worry if I can't get over to visit him for a time; I know he is in THE best hands in every way. Its very reassuring to know this about your loved one. I know my dad feels comfortable there now, too. He has been there about 8 months, and it is home to him. I am very thankful for the Wrabels, and for Avalon.

  I would highly recommend Avalon as a best in class care center. My mother in law has been there over a year now and Rick and staff truly care for her. She has her own room, daily activities, three freshly prepared meals a day, physical therapy, hair appointments, nurses and doctors constantly checking in on her. Holidays are celebrated with family lunches and decorations. We visit often and are updated or consulted in between visits should a situation arise. The company is family owned and often Rick's own family are there to entertain, cook or help out in some way. The ratio of personnel per resident is high. This 24 hour care is demanding but they all handle each resident with grace and compassion. We have great peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of.

  My husband has been there for 4 months and we love it so much. It is homey....he has his own room and it looks like his bedroom at home. Which makes it nice when the kids and grandkids come to visit. It is like a little family....they are out in the den all together during the day. They take such sweet care of him.

  My mother has been in this facility since July and has really enjoyed her stay. The place is clean and easy to access. The staff is friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you.
